- Prepare decorating specifications
- Negotiate with tendering contractors
- Advise on contractors
- Liaise with specialist sub-contractors
- Carry out design supervision during work-in-progress stage
- Specify and prepare costs of furniture, furnishings and equipment
- Gather samples and prepare sample boards
- Supply and install furnishings, furniture and equipment
- Research and purchase special items, antiques, accessories
- Provide post-contract service during defects liability period
